The Big Exchange

The Big Exchange was founded by the people behind the Big Issue and is backed by a slew of big fund management firms.

It’s an ethical, impact investment specialist catering for those who want to make a difference to the planet with their money. For a minimum of £25 a month or a £100 lump sum you can open an ISA, JISA or general investment account or create your own portfolio from its list of actively managed funds.

3D Investing worked with The Big Exchange to build a unique impact assessment methodology based on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (see here), while Square Mile Investment Consulting and Research has designed the allocation framework and selects the funds for risk-rated fund bundles.

The Big Exchange Review

If you’re looking for investments that make a difference to both your long-term savings and the long-term sustainability of our planet and societies, look no further than The Big Exchange.

We really like the idea behind this platform. It’s unique, positive, and feels good to be associated with. However, the online experience itself is a bit messy, making it a slight challenge to navigate both the website and app. On the other hand, the customer support is very good and there to help you over any hurdles, so it balances out. There are also great explanations of how your money has an impact through each investment, which is a really nice touch.

Associated with The Big Issue, it’s no surprise that this platform puts affordability at the forefront. As one of the cheapest platforms for fund investors, The Big Exchange is easy to love.
